Quick and Easy Production of nanomaterials
PNF Co. has developed an equipment based on EEW method to produce metal nano colloids and metal nano powders inside water or any other liquid media as well as chamber with inert gas. In short, EEW or electrical explosion of wire is a synthesis method for metal nano particles that consists of passing a pulse of a high-density current through a wire causing the explosive disintegration of the metal (accompanied by a bright flash of light, a shock wave, the dispersion of the metal, and the fast expansion of a mixture of boiling metal droplets and vapour to the surrounding media) and the production of metal particles with characteristic sizes down to a few nanometers
The approach is basically a top-down approach to produce nano metal or metal oxide powders. It is a process of explosive destruction of a metal wire under the action of large density current.
